This is our fridge. Notice that it’s full of food, and yet my grocery lists are long! How does this happen? It’s something I ask myself as I’m trying to fit more food into the freezer with a crowbar and a string of profanities, and this week I’ve had enough. Welcome to my experiment to find out how long I can go without shopping for anything except milk/eggs/butter/sugar/flour/drinks. Thanksgiving will be the exception, and I’ll only shop for what is needed specifically for the turkey and such.
Meet the fridge.
There’s a lot in there! That’s not all the food in the house either, don’t forget these.
and
and the infamous baking shelves.
How long do y’all think I can keep it up?

Hehehehe, you and me can compare weird dishes near the end of the food.

I did this last year – it is a great feeling when you actually end up with space! Problem for me was that I immediately started filling it again

Good luck! I think you can do it.
Let me know! bethberg12@yahoo.com
I’m a fellow TWD baker, and I was thinking that it would be nice if we all could chip in and get Laurie some small token/gift for all the work she does. Would you be willing to contribute? If I can get enough people, it would only be about $1 per person. No pressure

I really need to do this. My pantry and fridge look just like yours. And let’s not even talk about the deep freezer and extra refrigerator in the basement!

3 weeks if you get creative.
Looks like you probably are going to eat a few cakes . . . .

I’ve done this before and managed to go at least three weeks. I bet you can do the same!
With a recent extended power loss – my fridge and freezer had to be completely emptied. Quite the feeling to have -nothing- and to have to start all over again!

I’m curious for an update! How long did that work for you? My fridge and cabinets look like that too, so I’ve decided that I’m going to stop buying, except for fresh fruits and veg, milk and eggs, and see how far that will take me!
